Educational Podcasts

coffeebreak.jpgFollowing my long-standing intention to learn Spanish (living in NYC and all...), I located Coffee Break Spanish yesterday. Their free language tutorial podcasts are  engaging and if you are American, this is a chance to learn Scottish English and Spanish in one go. If you bought language tutorials in the past ($$$), you'll know that having them available online for free now is significant. These podcasts are another indication that informal education outside universities becomes more popular. The style of the lessons is relatively casual and entertaining, which also supports the idea that education needs to be playful to an extent. The Glasgow-based Coffee Break, that also offers Italian and German podcasts, achieved an impressive number of listeners from all over the world in just a few weeks.
