Love Thy Network!

The dark side of social networking. Eight years after the invention of the weblog it becomes hugely popular. What makes a bad rep for collaboration? The many  aspects of it played through on the smartmob blog

I saw the book cover (to your left) at John F. Kennedy Airport last week. Such books feed into the idea of social networking as a way of getting ahead with one's very own career. Shmooze-your-way-to-the-top type thinking. When I talk about cooperation I do not refer to this kind of "sucking up" to advantageous others.
I am thinking more of THIS type of cooperative effort.

Cooperation online or in the office is portrayed as if it is solely dictated by the impetus of manipulation and marketing of ones ideas.
