Distributed Capitalism at LeWeb3

yaddz.jpgIn Paris, December 11th and 12th the world of venture capitalists and Web 2 business gurus will assemble for LeWeb3. The event will start with Google and SixApart officials and the two day program will then continue with panels titled  "Is open source turning commercial?" and "Will there be a Web 2.0 bubble ?" as well as "Enterprise 2.0 : distributed capitalism."

The most shocking and fascinating project in that trajectory is Yaadz. Just like Buzz advertising (people mentioning products in their conversations with friends) this site offers video ads created and uploaded by the people who watch them. Somebody who loves Nike shoes can now create their own video ad and upload it too. And it's free. They don't even have to pay for giving their immaterial labor away for free.

The list of participants is an endless scroll of the Motorolas of this world. But there are a few gems and panels that I'd love to see (and will miss).
For example, Niklas Zennström (Founder Skype and Kazaa) will talk about the future of the web. Also Dana Boyd and  Ulla-Maaria Mutanen will walk the LeWeb catwalk. One of the interesting-looking panels is "Have communities replaced the Media ?" with Stephanie Booth (coComment) and Scott Rafer (MyBlogLog), moderated by Guido Van Nispen.
There is also a panel on "Education 2.0" (education like has never been there before), with Mario Asselin of Opossum and Enrique Dans. An interesting discovery was also Headshift (
How to involve young people in politics...)

Other  discoveries included Last Minute Travel, Chezimelda (a shoe store search engine), MobuzzTV (a Rocketboomescque net video site but with not just with one young female presenter), Imity an sociable cellphone application,
a weblog on Iranian technology and pop culture, Yoono a Firefox plugin that instantly suggests similar sites and people sharing the same interests while you are surfing, Codeur (a site that helps you find a freeelancer for your project), PXN8 (an online photoeditor), and Table Finder (a site helping you to reserve a restaurant table).
